Once upon a time, hidden away in the ancient Edinburgh Vaults, The Caves used to function as a watering hole for local reprobates, as well as a dumping ground for the bloodless victims of the notorious serial killers Burke and Hare. Rediscovered two centuries later, The Caves has transformed Edinburgh’s underground music scene, becoming the city’s most iconic venue. On February 26th, the ghosts of Burke and Hare’s victims will be woken from their slumber by a sumptuous mix of funk, drum and bass, disco and house, as we get them grooving from beyond the grave. Bringing DJs from all across the UK, FUNKTION will convert the once decrepit subterranean morgue into a chamber filled with nocturnal nonsense and reckless rhythms.
