UNICEF Symposium 2016 - Keynote Speech - Dr. Sakena Yacoobi

Join us for the UNICEF Symposium 2016 Keynote Speech with Dr. Sakena Yacoobi. Dr. Yacoobi is Executive Director of the Afghan Institute of Learning, an Afghan women-led NGO she founded in 1995. The organization was established to provide teacher training to Afghan women, to support education for boys and girls, and to provide health education to women and children. Internationally recognised for her efforts on behalf of Afghan women and children, in 2005 Dr. Yacoobi was jointly nominated with 99 other women for the Nobel Peace Prize. Dr. Yacoobi will be speaking on this year's theme: 'Education Matters'.
