Join us for the UNICEF Symposium 2016 and its theme of 'Education Matters'. Under this theme Professor Yossi Mekelberg will be speaking about Conflict and Children. He believes that education is a victim of war and focuses on conflict and its resolution and its affect on children and education. Professor Mekelberg is the Director of the International Relations and Social Sciences Programme at Regent’s University, London. He is also an Associate Fellow of the MENA Programme at the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House. Prof Mekelberg writes a weekly column for the Al Arabiya network and appears regularly in the international media providing commentary on international affairs. He is also a member of the London Committee of Human Rights Watch.
