About

PEARSHAPED + POLTIMORE FESTIVAL PRESENTS... THE PROVIDE A PAD LIVE FUNDRAISER, at the Lemon Grove | back room | 19 January 2016 PearShaped and Poltimore Festival are hosting a Live Fundraiser for Provide a Pad - Exeter’s homelessness count is second only to London. Many of these rough sleepers have to deal with menstruation inadequately. This is an additional burden on top of their other struggles, and one with a great stigma attached to it. Provide a Pad is a student-led campaign, committed to raising awareness of homeless menstruation and to collecting sanitary products for donation. With music from... ALICE JEMIMA Having captivated audiences at Bestival, Beautiful Days and Larmer Tree Festival, Alice Jemima will be bringing her graceful voice to Exeter in support of Provide a Pad. Popular tracks such as ‘Dodged a Bullet’ and ‘Electric’ are known for their delicate electronic production and entrancing melodies. This thoughtful lyricist crafts tunes oozing with bass grooves in addition to plush instrumentation that you could rest your head on. http://alicejemima.com/ https://www.facebook.com/alicejemimamusic/ https://twitter.com/alicejemima PATTERN PUSHER Pattern Pusher are a local synth-pop/art-rock band, made up of vocalist and keyboard player Alex Johnstone, guitarist Benjamin Green, drummer Benjamin Conibear, and bassist Dan Cosgrove. They combine the best of old and new, creating a sound you’ve never heard, and can never get enough of. Guaranteeing energy and a sonic spectrum that will amaze; Pattern Pusher put on a unique performance with every set. http://www.patternpusher.com/ https://www.facebook.com/patternpusher/ CARA LUDLOW Setting her soft but defiant voice against delicate fingerpicked guitar, Cara Ludlow’s indie-folk is powerfully emotive. Playing wherever she can from street corners to bars, a tendency reflected in her lyrical vignettes of the powerful minutæ of human life. She is unambiguously talented. But the debate must be whether her vocal ability or profound lyricism is most triumphant. Hear her live to be too spellbound for it to matter. https://www.facebook.com/CaraLudlowMusic/ Poltimore Festival: http://poltimorefestival.co.uk/ PearShaped: http://pearshapedexeter.com/ Provide A Pad: www.facebook.com/provideapad
